Pricing, features, and summaries
1
Clay
Custom research and enrichment waterfalls
Clay leads because lead generation, as a job, is research plus a clean handoff. Claygent and the provider waterfalls are that job. The free plan is large enough to falsify the workflow before Launch at $185 a month.
- Pricing
- From $185/mo
- Free plan includes Claygent, 100 data credits, and 500 actions a month, with a 200-row cap. Launch starts at $185/mo ($167/mo billed annually). Growth starts at $495/mo. Checked against Clay's public pricing page on 5 October 2026.
- Key features
- Salesforce, HubSpot, Instantly, Outreach, Slack. Claygent can research a row without a person clicking through sources. A person still decides what gets pushed into outbound.
2
Apollo
A large contact database with a free plan
Apollo is the faster path when the lead you want is already in a B2B database. It scores under Clay on autonomy and custom research, and above it on access. Use Apollo when the filters are ordinary. Use Clay when the field you need does not exist yet.
- Pricing
- Free, then $49/user/mo
- Free plan includes limited credits and sequences. Basic starts at $49 per user/month billed annually ($59 month-to-month). Professional and Organization sit above that. Figures checked against widely published Apollo plan cards; confirm on apollo.io before you buy.
- Key features
- Salesforce, HubSpot, Gmail, Slack, Outreach. Sequences send on a schedule you set. AI drafts and suggests. A person still builds the list logic and the offer.
3
ZoomInfo
A contact database with a free Lite plan
ZoomInfo Lite is a permanent free plan with no card. Paid use is consumption credits, and the vendor says older published seat prices are not current. Open Lite before you book a sales call.
- Pricing
- Free Lite, then custom
- ZoomInfo's AI information page, updated October 2026, says ZoomInfo Lite is a permanent free plan with no credit card and no commitment, and that paid use is consumption credits rather than published seat tiers. The same page says third-party dollar figures and older tier names are not current pricing. We did not read a paid dollar amount. Last checked 5 October 2026.
- Key features
- API, MCP. A person searches and exports. Credits are spent when data or AI work is used.
4
PhantomBuster
A list built from public profiles
PhantomBuster does not sell a database. It extracts profiles you can already see, then can enrich emails. Start is $56 a month billed annually. Use Clay or Apollo when you want the record to already exist.
- Pricing
- Trial, then $56/mo billed annually
- phantombuster.com/pricing lists a free Trial plan (exports limited to 10 rows) and does not say how many days it lasts. Start is $56 per month, $672 billed annually. Grow is $128 per month, $1,536 billed annually. Scale is $352 per month, $4,224 billed annually. The page says annual billing saves 20%. The month-to-month dollar amount was not in the plan text we read. Last checked 5 October 2026.
- Key features
- HubSpot, n8n, Zapier, Make. A Phantom keeps running in the cloud after you launch it. A person still chooses the source and what gets exported.

5
HubSpot Breeze
Capturing and routing leads you already receive
Breeze is not a list vendor. It ranks third for teams whose lead-gen problem is what happens after the form: routing, enrichment against the CRM, and a prospecting agent on contacts you have. It will not replace Apollo's database.
- Pricing
- Free CRM, hubs from $15/seat/mo
- Free CRM includes the Breeze assistant. Marketing Hub Starter is $15/seat/month billed monthly or $9/seat/month billed annually. Professional is a different budget (about $800/mo annual, plus onboarding). Prospecting and customer agents consume credits. Confirm on hubspot.com/pricing.
- Key features
- HubSpot CRM, Gmail, Slack, Salesforce. The assistant is a copilot. Prospecting and customer agents can carry a task and should still stop for a person on anything customer-facing.

6
lemlist
A lead database tied to outreach
lemlist's database is part of the sending product, from $55/mo on the email plan. It is not Clay. Use it when finding the person and emailing them should be the same seat.
- Pricing
- From $55/mo
- lemlist.com/pricing shows the email plan at $69/mo struck through to $55/mo, and labels it From $55/mo. Multichannel is shown at $109 struck through to $87. Enterprise is custom. The trial FAQ says 14 days of Multichannel features except in-app calls, plus 200 credits. Last checked 5 October 2026.
- Key features
- HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Clay, Gmail, LinkedIn. Campaigns send on a schedule. The agents draft and enrich. A person still owns the offer.
7
Reply.io
A small monthly data credit inside the sender
Reply includes live data credits and says the database is about a billion B2B contacts. The credit allowance on the plans we read is 50 a month. It is a sender first. Do not buy it as a replacement for Apollo.
- Pricing
- From $49/user/mo billed annually
- Reply's pricing file lists Email Volume from $49 per user/month billed annually for 1,000 active contacts, or $59 per user/month on monthly billing. Higher contact tiers go up the slider, and the largest tiers are contact-sales. Multichannel starts at $89 per user/month billed annually, or $99 monthly. Jason, the AI SDR, starts at $500/month. LinkedIn automation is a $69 per account add-on and calls and SMS are $29 per account. The pricing FAQ offers a 14-day trial. Last checked 5 October 2026.
- Key features
- Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Close, Zapier. Sequences send on a schedule. Jason has a copilot mode and an autopilot mode. A person still owns the offer.
8
Instantly
Turning a finished list into outbound email
Partial fit. Instantly does not generate the lead. It is here so the page does not pretend sending and finding are the same product. The email page is the right ranking if sending is the job.
- Pricing
- From $47/mo
- Growth starts at $47/mo on the public pricing page (lower if you pay annually). Higher plans raise sending and lead limits. Confirm the live meters on instantly.ai/pricing; the page is revised often.
- Key features
- Clay, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier. Campaigns send on their own once you load leads and copy. A person still owns the offer, the list, and the mailbox health.
9
11x Alice
Outbound prospecting when the lead is a meeting
Alice generates pipeline by running outbound, which some teams call lead generation and others call SDR. Job fit stays under the databases because you cannot inspect the list logic without a demo, and access is custom pricing.
- Pricing
- Custom
- No public self-serve price as of 5 October 2026. Budget for a sales conversation, not a card form.
- Key features
- Salesforce, HubSpot. Sold as an agent that operates outbound. Keep a human on approvals until you have watched a week of what it sends.
What are AI agents for lead generation?
An AI lead generation agent finds and qualifies demand, then hands a clean record to a CRM or a sender. AI tools for lead generation on this page are databases, research tables, and extractors. Sending the email is a separate job, even when the same vendor sells both.
ZoomInfo, Apollo, and Clay are the data layer. PhantomBuster builds a list from profiles you can already see. It does not sell a pre-built database.
How an AI lead generation agent works
Claygent reads the web and writes a custom field, then a waterfall tries data providers until a cell is filled. Apollo searches a B2B database and can sequence from the same seat. ZoomInfo Lite is a permanent free plan, and paid use is consumption credits rather than a published seat price. PhantomBuster runs a cloud automation against a public profile and can enrich an email.
Reply includes a small monthly data credit inside a sending product. That is not a replacement for Apollo. 11x is the autonomous SDR, and it does not publish a price.
Features of AI lead generation tools
The feature that matters is whether the record already exists, or whether the tool has to go find it.
- Custom research fields, or a large contact database
- A handoff into the CRM
- A free or low published plan so you can test the filters
Benefits of AI tools for lead generation
You stop building the list by hand, and you can tell a database from a sender before the invoice arrives.
- Stop building lists by hand
- See whether a custom field is worth a paid plan before you buy it
- Keep finding and sending as two decisions
Who uses AI agents for lead generation
B2B teams whose next problem is the list, not the sales script. Sales and marketing often share this buy, which is why HubSpot is on the page: the lead is sometimes already in the CRM and the job is routing, not discovery.
If the next step is the mailbox, open the email and SDR lists after the record exists.
AI lead generation pricing
Clay has a free plan and Launch from $185/mo. Apollo has a free plan and Basic from $49/user/mo billed annually. 11x is custom. Instantly is a sender, from $47/mo, not a source of leads. PhantomBuster Start is $56/mo billed annually. ZoomInfo Lite is free. Paid ZoomInfo credits are not a published seat price.
lemlist's email plan is shown from $55/mo and includes its own database. Last checked 5 October 2026. ZoomInfo's own AI information page says older seat prices quoted around the web are not current.
How to choose an AI lead generation agent
Use Clay when the field you need does not exist in a standard database. Use Apollo or ZoomInfo Lite when the person should already be in a B2B database. Use PhantomBuster when you are pulling public profiles yourself.
Use HubSpot when the lead is already in the CRM. Do not buy Reply as the database. Its credit allowance on the plans we read is 50 a month.
