OpenAI's introduction of ChatGPT Atlas describes a macOS browser with ChatGPT in the page, built-in memory, and an agent mode that could research, automate tasks, and book while the user browsed. OpenAI's help article on evolving Atlas says the browser was scheduled to stop working on August 9, 2026, with browser-based agent work moving into ChatGPT and Codex.

chatgpt.com/atlas did not return product content (a bot check). OpenAI's introduction said Atlas launched to Free, Plus, Pro, and Go users, with agent mode in preview for Plus, Pro, and Business. No Atlas-specific dollar price was on the pages retrieved. The help article says Atlas browser data, including bookmarks and history, would not transfer automatically. Last checked 5 October 2026.
