## What is an AI browser?

An AI browser is a browser with a model that can read the page, answer, or click through a task. A browser agent can also mean a developer library that drives Chrome. An agentic browser and an AI web browser are the consumer end of that split.

Both show up when people search this term. This page labels which is which.

## How a browser agent works

A consumer browser, Dia, Neon, Edge Copilot Mode, or Genspark, lets the model see the tab you are on. Comet and ChatGPT Atlas are in the same category, and their pricing pages did not get past bot checks, so they have no price here. A developer product, Browser Use or Browserbase, lets code operate a browser and bills for time or a plan.

A computer-use agent is the developer version of the same idea: the software clicks, rather than only summarizing the page.

## Features of an agentic browser

Can it see the page, and is the price a subscription or a usage meter?

- A model that can see the page you are on

- A published subscription, if you are buying a consumer browser

- A usage price, if you are buying browser infrastructure

## Benefits of an AI web browser

Research stays in the browser, and a developer can automate a site without pretending that is the same product.

- Stay in the browser for research instead of pasting into a chat

- Separate a consumer browser from a developer automation API

- Skip products whose pricing page would not load

## Who uses an AI browser

People who want the browser itself to help, and developers who need an agent that can operate a site. The best AI browser in a review roundup is often only the consumer half.

## AI browser pricing

Perplexity Comet and ChatGPT Atlas did not get past bot checks, so they have no price here. Dia's Better Answers plan is $20 a month. Opera's December 2025 news post priced Neon at $19.90 a month. Genspark Plus is $24.99. Browser Use lists $0.02 an hour. Browserbase has a free tier, then $20. Edge Copilot Mode did not show a dollar price.

Last checked 5 October 2026. The Neon figure is from that news post, not a pricing grid we re-opened in October.

## How to choose the best AI browser

If you want a browser you install, compare Dia, Neon, Edge Copilot Mode, and Genspark, and ignore any Comet or Atlas price you did not read yourself.

If you are automating browsing from code, Browser Use and Browserbase are the infrastructure products. Do not install a consumer browser expecting an API.
