3

### n8n

Technical teams who want self-hosted or cloud workflows with AI steps

n8n's homepage says you build AI agents and workflows visually, with JavaScript or Python in the same canvas, and can self-host or use n8n Cloud. It says every step of an agent's reasoning is visible and that human approval can sit on tool calls.

n8n pricing and features/n8n alternatives

4

### Dify

A builder you can self-host

Dify's cloud Sandbox is free. Professional is $59 per workspace each month. The community edition is self-hosted and free. It belongs next to n8n and Lindy if the job is building the agent, not buying a finished one.

Dify pricing and features/Dify alternatives

5

### Zapier Agents

Teams that already automate work in Zapier and want an AI teammate on those apps

Zapier's Agents page says you create teammates that use company knowledge and do work across 9,000+ apps, on command or on a schedule. Example agents on the page enrich leads, answer an IT Slack channel, and draft support email.

6

### Relevance AI

Enterprise teams deploying specialist agents with a vendor implementation team

Relevance AI's homepage describes Invent as a way for teams to turn expertise into agents, with an embedded deployment team and a path from assisted AI to more autonomous workforces. It says agents run on company data with access controls, audit trails, and human approval.

## What is an AI agent builder?

An AI agent builder is where you assemble the agent: the instructions, the tools it can call, and the approval step. An AI agent platform is the hosted version of that. It is not itself a receptionist or a recruiter.

Agentic AI platforms and a no-code AI agent builder overlap workflow tools. Several products on this list also appear under workflow automation because the line is thin.

## How an AI agent platform works

You connect a model and the tools it may call, write the steps, and read a log of what it did. n8n can be self-hosted. Dify has a free cloud sandbox and a free community edition. Lindy, Gumloop, and MindStudio are the hosted builders with published monthly prices. Microsoft Copilot Studio sells a credit pack. Zapier Agents is the agent layer on Zapier, separate from ordinary Zaps. Relevance AI and OpenAI AgentKit did not show a simple subscription price.

The agent only does the steps you allowed. That is the point of a builder.

## Features of a no-code AI agent builder

Connections, a log, and a price you can read. A canvas by itself is a demo.

- A way to connect the tools the agent will call

- A log of what it did

- A published price or a free self-hosted edition

## Benefits of agentic AI platforms

You can build the one workflow the team repeats, in a product you can inspect.

- Build the one workflow your team actually repeats

- Keep the logic in a product you can inspect

- Avoid a custom contract when n8n, Dify, Gumloop, or Lindy already publish a number

## Who uses an AI agent builder

Operators and developers who have a job in mind and do not want a finished vertical product. If the job already has a name, such as receptionist or recruiter, buy that product first and come back here when it does not exist.

## AI agent platform pricing

Starting points we could verify: Lindy from $29.99/user/mo. n8n at €20/mo billed annually. Relevance AI does not publish a simple price. Gumloop from $37/mo on the credits docs. MindStudio free, then $20/mo. Microsoft Copilot Studio from $200/pack/mo. Dify free, then $59 per workspace/mo. Last checked 5 October 2026.

Dify's community self-hosted edition is free. The $59 figure is the cloud Professional plan.

## How to choose the best AI agent builder

If a developer will own it, start with n8n or Dify, including the self-hosted editions. If a non-developer needs to ship an internal agent, read Lindy, Gumloop, and MindStudio.

Copilot Studio makes sense when the company is already a Microsoft shop and the credit pack is an acceptable unit. Zapier Agents is priced separately from ordinary Zaps.
